As founder of HYGEIA Integrated Health LLC, she brings over 25 years of clinical social work experience from a variety of settings including corporate, hospital, hospice/home care, early-intervention, education, mental health and private practice. Prior to her social work career, Ms. Foulkes worked as a pharmaceutical marketer at Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb after receiving her MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. This diverse combination of education and work experience gives her a unique perspective on how to deliver emotional, behavioral, and mental health care solutions that addresses Hygeia Integrated Health LLC's mission of "putting wellness back into healthcare".
Denise’s early vision for HYGEIA Integrated Health LLC was inspired by the fact that 75% of all health care monies, from a $3 trillion industry, are spent on emotional, behavioral or mental health issues that are preventable; or when treated early, can reduce overall healthcare spending and provide improved health and well-being.
